Job Title: Apprentice Business Administrative Assistant

Location: CYCA Llanelli

Salary: Age 18+ £10.85 P/H. (First year)

Contracted Hours: 16 hours per week

Closing date: 31.08.26

Job Description:

CYCA is looking for a motivated and organised apprentice to join our team and develop essential administrative skills while working towards a Level 2 Business Administration Qualification with a third-party training provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and providing a friendly first point of contact
  • Preparing invoices and supporting financial administration
  • Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for monitoring income and expenditure
  • Preparing Trustee paperwork and supporting governance processes
  • General administrative duties to support the smooth running of CYCA
  • Working directly with and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills (Excel, Word, email)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to completing the Level 2 Level qualification.
  • Welsh speaker desirable
  • Full Enhanced DBS and references will be required for the role.

Job Title: Trauma Informed Mentor

Location: CYCA Llanelli

Salary: £14 P/H

Hours: Between Mon-Friday 9am-5pm 24 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term

Closing date: 31.08.26

Job Description:

As a Trauma Informed Mentor, you’ll provide emotional and practical support to families experiencing distress, helping them build resilience, confidence and stability. You’ll work closely with CYCA practitioners and multi agency partners to create safe, supportive environments where families can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer support as identified by the case manager
  • Build trusting, positive relationships with children, young people and families
  • Work collaboratively with agencies
  • Attend planning meetings and monthly supervision
  • Facilitation of training Keep accurate records for monitoring and evaluation
  • Support the development and delivery of training
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical practice at all times.
Person Specification:
  • Trauma Informed Practice certificate
  • Experience supporting families with complex needs
  • Understanding of emotional distress
  • Car driver
  • Welsh speaker desirable.
All posts require a cleared enhanced DBS. One referee must be your current or most recent supervisor.
