It started with a simple idea.
A homework club. A handful of children. A belief that young people thrive when the community wraps around them.
This photo captures one of the very first projects Tracy initiated at CYCA. A pioneering Homework Club that quickly proved something important. When children are given space, encouragement and steady support, they grow in confidence, skills and belief in themselves.
More than 45 years later, that same foundation still guides us.
We have evolved. We have expanded. We have deepened our trauma-informed, whole-family approach.
But the heart remains the same.
