During these very difficult times, CYCA continue to provide a range of services to those most in need. We are delivering many services remotely, including training, mentoring and counselling via Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp. Our helplines are also open and we will do our best to get back to everyone that make contact with us.

Our nursery staff have been very busy providing daily activities for younger children, and we are pleased to offer addition resources for children on our new website site. (go to COVID section page on children).

In addition, we have developed information and resources for professionals, staff and parents (LINK to COVID section resources page), a Wellbeing page LINK to COVID section wellbeing page with meditations, tools for wellbeing and breathing techniques, and information on our virtual training offer LINK to COVID section training page.

During these unprecedented times we urge you to stay strong and positive. Children will sense a parent's anxiety, so we are here to help you manage that.

CYCA staff continue to work every day. For any enquiries please email us on support@cycaonline.org

COVID-19 Social Distancing advice for everyone in Wales.

Keep Wales safe:

  • always observe social distancing (also known as physical distancing) – stay 2 metres (3 steps) away from others, indoors and outdoors
  • wash your hands regularly
  • if you meet another household, outside your extended household, stay outdoors
  • work from home if you can

Stay at home if you, anyone you live with or anyone in your extended household has symptoms.

What should you do if you develop symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19)

The same guidance applies to the general population in Wales and those at increased risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19). If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 (high temperature, or new and continuous cough, or loss of or change to sense of taste or smell), self-isolate at home and apply for a test within 5 days of symptoms developing.

If you live with others or are part of an extended household and you or one of them have symptoms of coronavirus, then everyone  must stay at home and self-isolate and not go out until the result of the test of the person with symptoms is known. The isolation period starts from the day when the first person became ill. You can find the full guidance at self-isolation: stay at home.
