Congratulations to one of our wonderful volunteers Gloria Beynon who won the Aging Well Award 2025

After retiring as a teaching assistant, Gloria reignited her passion for learning at CYCA, starting with a Conversational Play course where her grandson joined our nursery.

Gloria completed six accredited courses including Resilience, Child Development and Managing Anxiety. Age was no barrier, just a reason to grow. Now a community volunteer ambassador, Gloria runs Cooking on a Budget workshops, supports young mum and helped to prepare over 300 meals in our Lles Y Bwyd project. She now leads weekly sessions independently and helps shape future wellbeing projects. Gloria proves it’s never too late to learn, lead and inspire others.
