Volunteers

CYCA are supporting ContinYou Cymru with their ' V4aC (Volunteering for Active Communities Programme). The programme develops volunteers through three modules in informal learning, based around Out of School Hours Learning (OSHL), being Introduction to Informal Learning, Delivering Informal Learning and Leading Informal Learning.

The project builds upon work that volunteers are already often undertaking within Out of School settings and ensures that recognition is given, with 60 degree level credits being banked with the North East Wales Institute (NEWI) that volunteers can use should they wish to develop their skills further through Higher Education.

Volunteers are not pressured to complete the work and can progress at their own pace, taking up to a year or longer if necessary. So if you are currently volunteering in an Out of School Club and are interested in becoming a volunteer, then please contact Barry Johnson on 01554 757599
