Fit for Fun

Jean Morgan - our Tatty Bumpkin provider PDF Print E-mail

Jean Morgan has worked in the field of holistic therapies for the past 15 years, and has run her own business.  She is a multi disciplined practioner, and was amongst the first students to be taught Aromatherapy when it was introduced at a WelshCollege.  She has also trained with Chris Stormer an internationally respected teacher and author of books on reflexology.  She currently works with the fit for fun team delivering holistic therapies in BryngwynSchool.

Jean is married with two daughters and two grandchildren.  Her interest in yoga was inspired when after the birth of her first daughter she met Sensei Steadman Davies MBE.  This yoga master who teaches in a very traditional way was to become the most influential teacher.  During this journey of learning she spent time in India, but it was his club that moulded the teaching principles that she holds dear today

The Tatty Bumpkin training provided Jean with a program that has won Best National Physical Activity for Children (Organix and What’s On For Little Ones Awards) 2008.  It is also an accredited course (Council for Awards in Childcare Health & Education), and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Tatty Bumpkin classes are multi sensory, yoga inspired, and written by educationalists and musicians.  As an inclusive approach parents are invited to join in and explore the joy of play with their children.  It aims to teach creative play, exercise, inspire imagination and increase physical strength.  As well as making children environmentally sympathetic, the creative yoga postures, relaxation and breathe awareness can only serve to provide these children with the added advantage of starting to develop knowledge of themselves that can only be beneficial for their future.

To embrace the ethos of Tatty Bumpkin and be:

Bendy Giggly Clever and Strong.
