From improving the wellbeing of vulnerable children to providing formal and informal educational support, children truly are at the heart of what we do and we support them in a number of ways.
Mentoring - the majority of this support is via our mentoring programme that is offered through our BIG lottery funded projects, Securing Futures and Families in Crisis and through 'commissioned' work from local authority departments. Through this programme a child is assigned a highly skilled and experienced 'mentor' who provides therapeutic support in order to achieve set goals that improve the general wellbeing of the child.
LAC programme - we have devised a specialist support programme to help children whilst they are in care, and also as to support them to make a positive transition in to independent living. This support is given through a designated LAC mentoring club, as well as 'one-to-one' mentoring and counselling support for those who need more intensive therapeutic support.
Online support - we have created a specialist 'interactive support gateway' which allows the children we work with access to our support resources whenever they need it.
Early years - we run 3 nursery settings providing quality education for children at a vital stage of their development, helping them make the positive transition to primary school.
Play clubs - we run 5 after schools clubs and 1 holiday for all children. The main aim of the club is to provide a fun, stimulating and safe environment, with the emotional and physical and wellbeing of the children at the forefront of all activities.
