CYCA is continually adapting learning delivery and courses to react to feedback from leaners .

Here are some quotes from  some of our 2018 Learners.

Resilience Course

“Lianna was a brilliant tutor, I enjoyed the course and it was very informative. I liked the group and they were very supportive, will miss not doing the course.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the resilience course, it has taught me a lot about how to deal with difficult situation and given me a new outlook on life. It’s been very interesting!”

Playwork Course

“Enjoyed the course, learned new things, very friendly and helpful tutor. She explained everything very well.”

“Interesting, enjoyed way it was delivered, fun, didn’t dread coming even though tired.”

Child Development

“I have had the amazing opportunity of doing several courses through CYCA with Lianna delivering them, Lianna is a fantastic tutor/trainer. She is very informative, has a fantastic amount of knowledge and understanding and is very friendly and welcoming whilst remaining professional. She gives us fantastic support throughout the courses and encourages us with the progress of the courses/course work. I have learned so much from these courses and have a much wider amount of knowledge and understanding especially with the child development course, it has given me more understanding due to the information given, I can have more preparation and be more aware of my own children’s development and the different development stages they will go through in the coming years.

The courses have given me more confidence in myself, with interacting with others socially, has helped mine and my daughters communication skills and I now believe that I can gain more qualifications and have more opportunities. I have more paths to a good career with the support that I have been given, I have put my name forward to do more courses with CYCA. I look forward to doing these, thank you so much for this I am extremely grateful.”

“I have recently completed several courses with CYCA (accessed through the family centre.) Before this I haven’t been in any form of educations since leaving college 20 years ago, I also left employment in 2008 to raise my children. Despite always wishing to go back into education I lacked the confidence to do so, as it seemed too ambitious, but doing these courses I have grown in confidence and now have applied and been accepted into an access course due to start in September and hopefully this will lead into a degree course.

Upon starting the courses with CYCA I was extremely nervous as it was new and unknown experience but the staff have been incredible. They put us at ease and are incredibly supportive and the courses have been both interesting and helpful. Without CYCA I am positive I wouldn’t have made the step to getting back into education”
