Having recently attended two CSE conferences and listened to some of the most knowledgeable in their field the research does not make light reading. For example there has been a 70% increase in primary aged children being contacted on-line by groomers. 400 offenders a month in England and Wales are arrested for grooming every month. Degrading behaviour is on the increase on the dark web with girls as young as 12 years old being raped on live streaming.

Anyone who is connected to children have a duty to keep them safe in whatever way we can. CYCA are seeing the damage caused to children when they realise the enormity of what has occurred. Peer pressure is massive but parents have a duty to keep their children safe.

Please look at the NSPCC website and Think You Know for excellent resources to start keeping children safe.
