CYCA shortlisted for second charity award

As well as being shortlisted for this year's Llanelli Star Charity of the Year competition, we have now been shortlisted for Asda superstore's 'Community Life' Award, where over the months of June and July 2012, shoppers can vote for us in Llanelli's main Asda superstore in Murray Street. To be able to vote, customers must first obtain tockens from store cashiers, which will be given out when customers either buy or re-use recycling / re-usable bags. Then to register the votes, simply place the tockens in the 'CYCA voting box'.

Llanelli Star logoWe are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Llanelli Star's 2012 charity of the year competition. The winning charity will be the beneficiary of 12 months worth of fundraising through numerous campaigns run by the newspaper and will receive up to £10,000, which would go a long way to supporting many vulnerable children and families throughout Carmarthenshire.

CYCA receive new BIG lottery grant

BIG logoCYCA are delighted to announce that we have received a new 4 year grant of nearly £900k from the BIG lottery's Improving Futures programme to provide support for children aged 5 to 10 years where parents have low level mental health problems or a learning disability. We shall be working collaboratively with Carmarthenshire County Council throughout the County.
