Glitzy night helps raise £2500 for CYCA

Mike Doyle smallA special evening of glitz and glamour has resulted in CYCA receiving a cash boost of more than £2,500.Our annual fundraising event at the Diplomat Hotel on Friday October 5th which featured special guests Mike Doyle, who is our charity ambassador, and Helen Enser Morgan, who compered the evening, was an enormous success.

Guests were able to enjoy a feast of Domino's Pizza, while Morriston Big Band also performed.

Money raised at the event will go towards funding the wide range of services which we offer to families countywide, including its mentoring programme.

CYCA manager Tracy Pike hailed the evening a great success and said it would be returning again next year.

"We are extremely grateful for everyone who supported us," Mrs Pike said.

"We managed to raise in excess of £2,500, which will go a long way in helping us to provide valuable support for children and families across Carmarthenshire.

"A special thanks goes to Mike Doyle and Morriston Big Band for putting on such a great performance, Byron Jenkins from the Diplomat Hotel for providing the room, Domino's Pizza for providing food and Helen Enser Morgan for being a fabulous MC.

"We would also like to thank everyone who kindly donated auction and raffle prizes."

Mr Doyle added: "Many thanks to CYCA for asking me to take part in such a worthy event.

"I am delighted to support such a great charity and I am overwhelmed by the magnificent work they do across the county.

"It really is a great honour to be their ambassador."
